It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melissa M. Carknard of Stillwater, New York, who passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Richard "Dick"; her husband Harold "Jake" Carknard; and her brothers, Richard Jr., Jeff and Danny Brown.
She is survived by: her sons, Jacob (Tegan Carknard) and Jeremy (Ashleigh Carknard); her grandsons, Max and Jack; her siblings, Linda DeMarco, Beverly Dahlin, Jimmy Brown (Debbie) and Dennis Brown; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Brown. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends and loved ones to make donations in Melissa's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110. The family has chosen to send donations to AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY INC (NATIONAL HOME OFFICE).
