It is with sadness that the passing of Loida Maquiran of Stony Brook, New York is shared. Loida, born on August 16, 1936, passed away on September 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Loida will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Loida by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Loida is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Loida’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arsenio Dusaban and Fe Gerochi; her husband Jorge Maquiran; and her daughter Marie Lynn Maquiran. She is also survived by her five children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St James Funeral Home (829 Middle Country Rd, St James, NY 11780).
