She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Fredrick and Louisa McCarty; her brother Robert "Bobby" Epstein; her aunts, Annie Soares (Manuel), Matilda "Honey" McCarty and Edwina "Nicky" Gualco (Harry); her uncle George "Georgie" McCarty; her parents, Louise Silva Rodriguez and Daniel Silva; her husband Curtis Kenneth Tomlins; and her daughter Gail Renee Tomlins.
She is survived by: her siblings, Daniel Epstein and Lorelei Cobb; her daughter Melissa Louise Lamar (Ryan); her grandchildren, Brian Tyler Henneberry (Kristina), Amanda Taylor Henneberry and Julian Michael Lamar; her daughter Dorrie Daniela Tomlins (Daniel); her granddaughter Daniela Renee Rich (Anthony); her great grandchild Brayden Patrikeyev; her grandson Luke Harrison Rosenthal; her son Kertis Kenneth Tomlins; her grandsons, Jacob Kenneth Tomlins and Colby Harlor Tomlins; and her cousin Laverne Skinner. She is also survived by many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
According to Hawaiian tradition and culture, Gwen raised her children to value community service, charity, and volunteerism with an emphasis on supporting children and the elderly.
