He is survived by: his children, Vincent E. Mahon of Suffern, NY, Sheila Murray (Bill) of Horseheads, NY, Patti Mariquit of Suffern, NY, Christopher Mahon (Rose) of New Fairfield, CT, Sean Mahon (Laura) of Cornwall, NY, Brian Mahon (Karen) of Newburgh, NY, Brendan Mahon (Mary) of Suffern, NY and Meghan Zigler (David) of Cornwall, NY.; and his wife Kate McDermott. He is also survived by 17 beautiful grandchildren, and his great-grandson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc. (73 N Liberty Dr, Stony Point, NY 10980). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church (25 Cinder Rd, Garnerville, NY 10923). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Ascension Cemetery (650 Saddle River Rd, Airmont, NY 10952).
