We are sad to announce that, on May 28, 2026, at the age of 77, John Burton Sr. of Stratford, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may John find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arden "Bucky" Burton and Alice Burton (Plato); and his sisters, Susan Moshier, Lynne Shaut, Doranne "Deb" Spofford and Christine Egan.
He is survived by: his wife Kathie L. Mason; his sons, John A. Burton, Jr. (Jennifer) and Steven Burton (Beth); and his grandson Zachary Burton (Katherine Loomis). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
