He was predeceased by: his sister Dorothy Reisdorf (Ray); and his parents, Albert Minkel and Leona Minkel. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Minkel; his children, Kimberley Minkel-Shepard (Mark Shepard), Joseph Minkel, Robin Minkel and Karen Keyes (Eric); his grandchildren, Jacob Charles Shepard, Allison Katherine Shepard, Liam Parker Keyes and Ani Louise Keyes; his siblings, Arlene Langa (Norbert), Shirley Becker (late Peter Becker) and Carol Kehl (late Norman); and his pet Josie. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM.
