He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Dorsey and Sybil Carter; his brother Leslie Dorsey; and his stepson Jonathan H. Bergeron. He is survived by: his wife Michele Dorsey; and his son John A. Dorsey, Jr.. He is also survived by his grandchildren and many extended family.
In honoring John's spirit of giving back to the community, in lieu of flowers, his family kindly requests that donations be made to the Stuyvesant Falls Fire Company #2.
