He was predeceased by: his parents, John N. Matich and Gloria Matich (Exley); and his brother John M. Matich. He is survived by: his pets, Garnet and Agate; his wife Lynn; and his sister Renee Matich (Stephen Grado).

The family has requested remembrances be made in the form of contributions to The American Cancer.
