He was predeceased by: his parents, Aida Melendez and Ramon Melendez of Rio Piedras. He is survived by: his wife Migdalia Rosa-Melendez; his children, Darian, Jennifer and Omar, Jr.; his sister Wanda (Robert); and his sister-in-law Yvette (Luis). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many loved friends.
