He was predeceased by: his parents, Bridget Canty and John Canty; and his brothers, Alan (AJ), John (Jack) and Michael.
He is survived by: his daughter Erika (Brian); his grandsons, Nicholas, Tyler and Nolan; his daughter Michele; his grandchildren, Thomas and Isabella; and his great grandchild Mateo.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home (177 NY-59, Suffern, NY 10901). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tom's memory to Beat the Streets NYC, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that uses wrestling to help New York City children and teens build discipline, confidence, and resilience on and off the mat.
