With sadness, we share the passing of Laura J. (Surrette) Schuyler (Sylvan Beach, New York). Laura, born on May 23, 1934, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Newcomb and Irene Newcomb (Beers); her husbands, William Surrette and Charles Schuyler; her son Ronald; and her siblings, Barbara Taylor (Selah), George Newcomb (Marge), Robert Newcomb (Marty), Lola Merriam (Bernard) and Joan I. Newcomb.
She is survived by: her daughters, Amy Surrette (John) of Rome and Christi Whaley of Chittenango; her grandsons, Christopher, Jeremy, Jason, Steven Whaley and Spencer Surrette; and her son-in-law John.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 23rd 2027 at 1:00 PM at the Sylvan Beach Union Chapel (805 Park Ave, Sylvan Beach, NY 13157).
