He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Janetschek and Jane Janetschek (McHugh); his wife Lynn (Weber); his children, Liz (Anthony), Poppy and Elliott; his siblings, Ann, Janie, Bill and Ellen; his nieces and nephews, Chrissy (Joe), Joey, Rob (Marita), Will (Kim) and Billy (Liana); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ryan, Mia, Jojo, Giordana, Eliana and Nathaniel.

In lieu of flowers, Bob's wife and daughter ask that donations be made in his name to two institutions near and dear to his heart—the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington, NY, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY.
