He was predeceased by: his wife Mattie Lee Mason; and his children, Carolyn Gregory and Rodney Mason, Sr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Arlene Huggins (David) of Dillon, SC and Linda J. Gregory (Charles) of Covington, GA; and his siblings, L. M. Mason of Syracuse, Robert Mason of Whitesville, NC and Pauline Mason Dennis of Chadburn, NC. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 47 great great-grandchildren, and one great great great-granddaughter.
