With sadness, we share the passing of Anna Marie (Damiano) Battilana of Syracuse, New York. Anna Marie, born on May 6, 1937, passed away on October 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Giuseppe Damiano and Madelaine Damiano; her husband Richard Battilana; and her brother Angelo Damiano. She is survived by: her children, Michael Battilana, Barbara (Gregory Smith), Anthony (Sandra Battilana), Janine (Benjamin Ridley), Anna (Alfonse Tripodi) and Richard Battilana, Jr.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home (3401 Vickery Rd, Syracuse, NY 13212). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St Daniel's Church (3004 Court St, Syracuse, NY 13208).
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Anna Marie's memory to Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital, honoring her love of children and helping support young patients and their families.
