He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Charles Lyon and Helen Lyon (O'Leary) of Binghamton, NY.; his wife Theresa of Austin Texas; his sisters, Helen Creagh, Mary Botnick, Katherine Cahill and Margaret Jean Higgins; his son John; and his daughters-in-law, Theresa and Martha.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Bradley (Randy) of Lufkin Texas, Charles Lyon of Syracuse, NY, Sheila Bangheart (Mike) of Austin Texas, James Lyon of Cypress Texas and Jeanne Devendorf (Doug) of Fulton, NY; his grandchildren, Cara, Amy, Alyssa, Michael, Joey, Patrick, Jennifer, Tim, Charles, Clair, Leah, Jonathan, Courtney, Dan, Sharon, Justin, James, Neil and Ian; his great grandchildren, Elyse, Emma, Avery, Jackson, Sofia and Sarah; and his daughter-in-law Annie. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tindall Funeral Home (1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13204). A requiem service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (2656 Warners Rd, Warners, NY 13164). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary-St. Patrick's Cemetery (501 Fairview St, Johnson City, NY 13790).
