He was predeceased by: his father Harry Holmes,; his nephew Matthew; and also Ruth Holmes. He is survived by: his daughter Kayleigh Thurston; his grandchildren, Michael and Lillian; and his siblings, James Holmes, Harry Holmes, Jr., Gerald "Homer" Holmes, Jacqueline "Jackie" West, Jean Stellato (Gary) and Mary Hahn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the B. L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home (10 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
