David J. Capella Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of David J. Capella (Syracuse, New York) is shared. David, born on November 17, 1935, passed away on October 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Constantino Capella and Angie Capella (Togni); his wife Catherine; and his son James. He is survived by: his sons, Michael of Syracuse, Steven (DeAnna) of Schenectady and Patrick of Syracuse; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Capella; his grandchildren, Jimmy, Meghan and Andrew; and his brothers, Richard (Dolores), Gerald (Nancy) and Daniel (Barbara). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home (2601 Milton Ave, Solvay, NY 13209). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to Meals on Wheels of Syracuse at 307 Gifford St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
