She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Crowder and Minnie Crowder; and her siblings, Ernest Crowder (Gussie), Emma Deloach (F. B.) and Ophelia Rowe.
She is survived by: her significant other John H. Newman; and her children, Debra Carter, Sebrina Coleman, Jacqueline Harts (Arthur) and Betina Oliver (Michael). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
