Ellen M. Axenfeld Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ellen M. Axenfeld of Syracuse, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2026 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice and Joan (Sweeney); and her brother Richard. She is survived by: her significant other Wendy Vedder; her brothers, Bob (Laura) and David (Terri); her grandchildren, Dalton and Kaitlyn Axenfeld; her great grandchildren, Rowan and Quinn; her grandchildren, Morgan and Max Bleiler; her great grandchildren, Addison and Max; her grandchildren, Ryan and Alex Axenfeld; her great grandchild Caidan; her grandchildren, Joseph and Krystal; her great grandchildren, Lilly and Preston; and her grandchildren, Kyle, Shawnda, Colin and Bianca Axenfeld. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and their children.

A private celebration of life will be held in Ellen's honor and the family invites those who wish to make a donation to Meals on Wheels of Syracuse or to perform an act of kindness in her memory.
