He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Scobell and Frederick Scobell; and his sister Betty Bartholomew. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Cheryl Arnault (David), Kathy Szelewski (Pete), Anne Scobell, Dan Scobell (Michelle) and Kim Salanger (Pat); and his sister-in-law Pat Krause. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home (3180 Bellevue Ave, Syracuse, NY 13219). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick's St. Brigid's Church (216 N Lowell Ave, Syracuse, NY 13204).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to St. Patrick's Church.
