He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Lavy and Mary Lavy; his wife Dorothy Lavy; and his brother Richard Lavy. He is survived by: his children, Gerald Lavy, Jr. (Dawn), Terrence Lavy, Daniel Lavy (Leslie Benack) and Carrie O'Hara (Patrick); his sister Angela Joel; his grandchildren, Joshua, Morgan, Andrew, Nicholas, Jake, Molly, Tim, Ainsley and Noah; and his sisters-in-law, Clara, Joan Cooper and Phyllis Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
