In the vast expanse of eternity, Gerda shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gerda farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Nicholas Romano; and her brother Gert Diedrich. She is survived by: her children, Heidi M. DiStaola, Lisa R. Olney and David G. Olney; her sister Mary Lou Snow; and her grandchildren, Ian Olney, Christian Olney, Cassandra Mills, Jennifer Allen and Christopher Allen. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
