It is with sadness that the passing of Gerda Young of Syracuse, New York is shared. Gerda, born on November 15, 1930, passed away on September 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Gerda will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Young. She is survived by: her children, Paula Miller (Bill), Kelly Bialy (Bill) and Steve Young; and her grandchildren, Brendan, Justin, Molly, Alex, Vanessa and Ian. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.
In keeping with Gerda's lifelong kindness toward animals, the family asks that, in her memory, contributions be made to an animal rescue of your choice.
