He was predeceased by: his sister Elizabeth Garfield of Pittsburgh, PA.; and his parents, Leonard Tiffany and Florence Tiffany. He is survived by: his daughter Charlotte Stephenson (Jon) of Concord, MA; his grandchildren, Graham and Elise (Sara Champion) of Ridgefield, CT.; his nephews, Fred Garfield of Birmingham, AL and Leonard Garfield of Seattle, WA; his niece Connie Krause of Seattle, WA; and his former wife Betsy Tiffany of New York City.
