We bid farewell to Horace W. Gunter (Syracuse, New York), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 14, 2025 at the age of 97. Horace touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Toy David and Mabell Walker Gunter; and his wife Doris M. Reith. He is survived by: his children, Linda of Georgia, William (Shawna) of Alabama, David, Deborah (Peter Kumanowski), Lisa (Douglas Leonhardt) and Dagmar Weissenfels of Berlin; his grandchildren, Andrew Gunter, Stephen, Christopher Kumanowski, Alyssa Prentice, Brianna Leonhardt, Alexis Major, Emma Leonhardt and Katie Gunter; his great grandchildren, Carter Davis, Maverick Prentice and Maddie Major; and his brother Ray of Byers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Disabled American Veterans (DAV)., make donations to The Disabled American Veteran's Association.
