It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane L. Caples of Syracuse, New York, who passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Burns and Doris Watson; and her sister Dianna Burns. She is survived by: her pets, Smokey, Sassy and Tom Tom; her husband Dave Caples; her daughter Melissa Sweeting; her grandchildren, Ceianna, Devin, Juvier and Janeeya; and her sister Carol Burns.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (800 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13203).
