We are sad to announce that, on July 20, 2025, at the age of 82, Jay G. Bernhardt in Syracuse, New York, born in Cooperstown, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Edward Bernhardt and Joyce Bernhardt (House); and his brothers, Douglas and Robert. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Bernhardt (Polge); his children, Erica Pigula (Daniel) and Jason Bernhardt (Ana); his father-in-law Albert Polge; and his grandchildren, Albert, Jay Daniel, Kayleen, Bernardo and Sammy. He is also survived by brother/sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close members of the Polge family, as well as his beloved friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jay's name may be made to one's favorite charity.
