She was predeceased by: her father Alvin J. Nelson. She is survived by: her daughter Aja; her mother Juanita Nelson; and her siblings, Thalia (Sonny), Iris (Kelvin), Rolanda, Cicily (Kenneth), Chris and Jamal. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Joslyn courageously fought a decade-long battle with early-onset Alzheimer's disease, facing the illness with quiet strength.
