Joyce M. Cerio Obituary
In loving memory of Joyce M. Cerio of Syracuse, New York, who departed this world on December 11, 2025 at the age of 82. Joyce leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Pauline Chappell,; her stepfather Edward Chappell, Sr.; her siblings, Thomas Emery, Beverly Horning, Bobby Emery, Gail Carni and Edward Chappell Jr.; and the father of her children Richard "Dick" Cerio.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Cerio (Cindy), Sheri Smart and Nicole Guyer; and her sister Christine Fox. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farone & Son Inc. Funeral Home - Liverpool (4899 W Taft Rd, Liverpool, NY 13088). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Church (407 S Main St, North Syracuse, NY 13212). A burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at the North Syracuse Cemetery (555 S Bay Rd, North Syracuse, NY 13212).
