She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Gibson and Julia Marie Gibson; and her siblings, Lela Mae Gibson Footman, Ollen E. Gibson, Reverend Thomas L. Gibson, Woodrow Gibson and Pauline Gibson.
She is survived by: her children, Jay "Stevie" Lynn of Syracuse, Michelle McCarthy of Syracuse, Earl McCarthy, Jr. of Syracuse and Stephanie McCarthy (Ramon) of Syracuse; her grandchildren, Elijah, Aziah and Lazure; her sister Muna Mustafa of Syracuse; and her sister-in-law Eva Mae Gibson of Cheektowaga, NY. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
