With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lillie V. Houston of Syracuse, New York, born in Havana, Florida, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lillie left this world on September 29, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Levi Houston; her children, Jeffrey Houston and Judyann Houston; and her brothers, Walter Lee Mitchell and James Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Houston (Cynthia), Elaine Houston Young (John) and Timothy Houston (Stacey); and her siblings, Willie Mitchell, Ira Dean Cole, Annette Youman, Annie Lee Shingles, Beverly Houston Walton (Walter) and Joanne Houston. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethany Baptist Church (149 Beattie St, Syracuse, NY 13224). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
