He was predeceased by : his brother Stephen John Jr.; his parents, Stephen John Carbacio Sr. and Shirley Matteson Carbacio; his aunt Audrey Thomas VanSlyke; his grandmother Jane Thomas Shepardson; and his pet Misty.

He is survived by : his sister Marsha Carbacio Phillips of DeWitt; his nieces, Susan and Stephanie Phillips of Syracuse; and his aunts, Linda Matteson-Sifer (Si) of Kirkville and Toni Carbacio Dyneka of Auburn. He is also survived by several cousins, and a circle of lifelong friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home (4612 S Salina St, Syracuse, NY 13205).
