He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Smorol and Sophia A. Kasiak. He is survived by: his wife Gail A. Krasnewich; his sons, Brian (Emily), David (Kristen), Thomas (Amber) and Mark; and his grandchildren, Anna, Christopher, Sophie and Michael.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buranich Funeral Home (5431 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (927 Park Ave, Syracuse, NY 13204).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
