He was predeceased by: his sons, Rayell and Rashaun Townsend; his parents, George Lee and Charity Townsend; and his brother Paul Townsend.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Townsend (Kelsea), Nodji Townsend and Nodia Haskins (Chris); and his siblings, Patricia, Cynthia Townsend, Jamie Townsend, Melvin Townsend (Patricia) and George Townsend. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
