He was predeceased by: his daughter Liliya Bezhenar; his parents, Kiril Bezhenar and Nadezhda Bezhenar; and his siblings, Zinaida, Vasiliy, Ivan and Anatoliy.
He is survived by: his wife Yelena; his children, Luba Bezhenar (Oleg Klishch), Peter and Vitaliy; his grandchildren, David Klishch and Lily Klishch; and his siblings, Maria Bilivska, Lidiya Bytov and Viktor Bezhenar. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
