It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peggy Lee Johnson of Syracuse, New York, who passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Smith and Sarah Cantidate Smith; her husband Jeffrey Earl Johnson; and her siblings, Joseph, Jacob Smith, Betty Evans and Inez Wallace.

She is survived by: her sister Rosa Smith of Syracuse; her daughters, Alice Carter of Syracuse, Janahia Smith of Syracuse and Jasmine Neal of Syracuse; and her granddaughters, Kisha Carter of Syracuse and Sharone Carter of Syracuse. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
