Philip C. Olenych Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip C. Olenych of Syracuse, New York, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael A. Olenych and Catherine L. Olenych (Horsington); his brothers, John M. Olenych and Stephen B. Olenych; and his grandson Jackson R. Olenych.
He is survived by: his wife Gwyn; his children, Matthew Sullivan, Katie Olenych, Michael Olenych (Danielle), David Olenych (Gina Oleksak), Erin Olenych, Philip Olenych (Angela) and Stephen Olenych; and his siblings, Catherine Reich, Michael (Leslie), Thomas (Karen), Daniel (Monica Pittman) and Richard (Nadine). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ryan Funeral Home (44 E Main St, Marcellus, NY 13108).
