Richard P. Montgomery Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard P. Montgomery of Syracuse, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Montgomery and Beverly Montgomery (Nelligan); and his close friend Roi Frank. He is survived by: his wife Julie Montgomery (Carroll); his children, JP Montgomery (Sarah), Jason Montgomery (Ashley), Nick Montgomery, Nicole Smith (Gary) and Patrick Trivison (Kelly); his grandchildren, Alex, Kaleigh, Jordan, Greg, Jayden, Reese, Grayson, MacKenzie, Logan and Michael; his great grandchildren, Xander and Anthony; his siblings, Carl Montgomery (Linda), Beth Everson (Dan), Michael Montgomery (Tricia) and Jessie Makepeace (Greg); and his pet Jax. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home (3401 Vickery Rd, Syracuse, NY 13212). The military honors will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery (4069 Howlett Hill Rd, Syracuse, NY 13215).
