It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Paul Plochocki of Syracuse, New York, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Plochocki and Rose Plochocki; and his brother Leon Plochocki. He is survived by: his wife Joy Plochocki (Clapsaddle); his children, Jennifer Gaughan (Kevin), Jeffrey Plochocki (Darlene) and Susan Houston (Lynn); his grandchildren, Kate, Abby, Miles and Elliot; and his sister-in-law Julie Plochocki.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hollis Funeral Home (1105 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13204).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation (Parkinsons.org) or Legal Aid of Nebraska (http://www.legalaidofnebraska.org.).
