He was predeceased by : his parents, Rollin Sager and Georgianna Sager; and his brother Charles Sager. He is survived by : his wife Dianna; his children, Christy Sager, Michael Sager Gregory (Arika), Laura Guida (Mark), Kelianne Kukulski and Zachary Kukulski; his sister Sharon Laroway; his nephews, Brian and Kevin Laroway; and his pets, Nikki and Roxi Maura Sager. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home (3180 Bellevue Ave, Syracuse, NY 13219). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Most Holy Rosary Church (111 Roberts Ave, Syracuse, NY 13207). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:40 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (4100 E Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13214).
