The memory of Virginia A. Rhoades (Syracuse, New York), who passed away on October 14, 2025 at the age of 100, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Wells and Arthur Wells (Frederick S. Rhoades); her siblings, Louise McCausland, Lorraine Elbrecht, Marjorie Tracy, Mary Lou Schmelzer, Arthur Wells and Wesley Wells; and her half-brother Alfred Wells.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ginny Yerdon (Elwin) of Liverpool, NY, Linda McCaffer (Gordon) of Marcellus, NY and Robin Shaunessy (Brian) of Durham, NC; her stepson Frederick Rhoades (Nanci) of Solvay, NY.; her grandchildren, Michael Yerdon (Adrienne Imbriaco) of South Orange, NJ, Scott Yerdon (Annette Mazevski) of Maplewood, NJ, Matthew McCaffer (Devon Brown) of Skokie, IL, Margaret Youssef (Antun) of Cary, NC and Thomas Loughlin (Alyssa) of Lakewood, CO; and her great grandchildren, Marlowe, Archer, Elena and Mila Yerdon of New Jersey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Butler-Badman Funeral Home (4504 W Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
