He was predeceased by: his son Lamont Harris; his parents, Essie Mae and Johnnie B. Harris, Sr.; and his siblings, Johnnie Mae Harris and Johnnie Harris, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Deasha Shoats and Willie Harris; his siblings, Nellie Freelon, Susan Marrah (Abu), Teresa Ingram (James), Elizabeth Butler (Alonzo), David Harris and Robert Harris (Alicia); and his grandchildren, Zarhyz Shoats, Noah Mobley, Jayden Shoats and Zaiden Shoats. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Farone & Son Inc. Funeral Home (1500 Park St, Syracuse, NY 13208). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Loomis Hill Cemetery (4069 Howlett Hill Rd, Syracuse, NY 13215).
