We announce the death of Stan Steele of Tarrytown, New York, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 71. Stan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Steele and Theodore Steele; and his sister Mary Ann Van Duyn. He is survived by: his wife Maryellen; his children, Stanley John Steele (Kathryn Horn), Maggie Steele (Cort Hodge), Annie Steele (Tim Reardon), Mary Elizabeth Feeney (Matthew Feeney), Ryan Steele and Owen Steele; his grandchildren, Abigail, Benjamin Feeney, Eleanor and Violet Steele; his sister Tricia Bergman; and his brother-in-law Don Van Duyn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Coffey Funeral Home (91 N Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Transfiguration Church (268 S Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery (236 Lexington Ave, Mt Kisco, NY 10549).
