He was predeceased by: his parents, Giuseppe Cannavaro and Marianna Cannavaro; his brother Antonio Cannavaro (Vittoria); his daughter-in-law Helene Cannavaro; his siblings-in-law, Josephine Ardiri (Santo), Carmela Peluso, Mike Schiavone and Biagio Giuttari; his in-laws, Maria Santa and Carmelo Giuttari; and his close friend Angelo Isidore.
He is survived by: his wife Maria; his children, Marianne Megali (Al) and Giuseppe Cannavaro; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Carmelo, Matthew, Melissa and Gianna. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the T. J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home (71 Central Hwy, Garnerville, NY 10923). A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Peter's and St. Mary's Church (115 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY 10927).
