He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Nero and Maria Nero (Pedula); and his siblings, Jimmy, Jay, Christina, Pat and Anthony.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Francesca Romano; his sons, Peter Jr. and Leonard; his grandchildren, Madison, Gabrielle, Olivia, Alexander, Juliette and William; and his daughter-in-law Karie Nero (Beaudoin).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. (575 Columbus Ave, Thornwood, NY 10594). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Jesus Church (2 Broadway, Valhalla, NY 10595).
