He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Ann Repko Burger; his parents, Ambrose C. Burger (Marie) and Gertrude Kraus Lennon (Vernon); and his brothers, Arley Burger, Ambrose "Jake" Burger and Gerald "Wink" Burger.
He is survived by: his children, Duane A. Burger Jr. (Leslie) of Port Henry, NY, Rhonda Burger Fisher (Brian) and Darryl E. Burger of Ticonderoga, NY; his grandchildren, John R. Saunders Jr. (Deanna) of Newburgh, NY, Tyler S. Fisher of Newburgh, NY, Skye L. Fisher of Newburgh, NY and Rian K. Fisher of Newburgh, NY; his great grandchild Madisyn A. Saunders; his siblings, Garth Burger (Gail), Merwin Burger, Vernon "Nuke" Lennon (Barbara) and Marie Burger Zaccagnino (Mike); his godson Jeremy Matthews; and his friend Artie Kramer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
