He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Wells and Margaret Wells (Hall); his wife Marjorie Wells; his daughter Robin Wells; and his sister Blanche Flack.

He is survived by: his son Kirk D. Wells; his stepson Robert H. Mason; and his brother Walter Wells. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
