The memory of Richard F. Edson of Ticonderoga, New York, who passed away on May 6, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Richard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fay Edson and Elizabeth Edson. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Michael Edson (Patricia), Bill Edson (Carol) and Betsy Edson (Tina); and his stepchildren, Doug Todd (Lisa), Jennifer Todd and Becky Bonn (Mike). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home (11 Algonkin St, Ticonderoga, NY 12883). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Ticonderoga Emergency Squad in his honor.
