She is survived by: her siblings, Donald Schaaf, Norbert Schaaf, Evelyn Schaaf McCarthy and Paul Schaaf; her children, Mary Catherine (Bradley Denker), Robert James and Richard John (Jennifer O'Connor); her daughter-in-law Yvonne Merck; and her grandchildren, Jessica Merck, Andrew Merck (Kimberly), Brendan Denker (Jessica), Jennifer Denker, Mackenzie Denker, Kyle Nissen, Gregory Pettinato (Stephanie), Michaela Alvaro (Finn) and Cara Lang (Daniel). She is also survived by her many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc. (2053 NY-32, Rosendale, NY 12472). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter's Church (1017 Keator Ave, Rosendale, NY 12472). A burial was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at the St. Peter's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice or St. Peter's Church in Rosendale.
