She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Ostrzynski and Jennie Ostrzynski; and her sister Patricia Johnson. She is survived by: her sibling's children, Deborah Crossman of Sandy Hook, CT, Pamela Napolitano of Boxborough, MA and Christopher Johnson of Bethesda, MD.

She supported the education of South African students through the Sisters of St. Francis and made contributions to Mount St. Mary Academy and St. Amelia School, demonstrating her lifelong belief in the power of education.
